Year 11 Construction students have been fabricating timber stud frames as a project in their Industry Connections class.
Using industry specific tools and equipment, students have measured and cut timber to create top and bottom plates, vertical studs, and noggings. Students have been following plans and specifications to tack together the frame and assemble it into its final position in preparation for the installation of plasterboard.
The Stage 2 Industry Connections subject allows our students to develop their trade learning and apply their skills, knowledge, and understandings about their chosen industry through industry-related projects.
We look forward to the next step in their project and seeing the transformation of new walls ready for more trade learning.
