CONSTRUCTION

The Construction program provides theory and practical skills required by the building and construction industry. Students develop skills in both carpentry (including steel framing) and wet trades (bricklaying, plastering and tiling). The program also provides an introduction to allied industry trades including flooring, glazing, painting, cabinetmaking and civil construction.

Possible Career Pathways

This qualification provides a pathway to the primary trades in the construction industry with the exception of plumbing. Possible career pathways include:

CONSTRUCTION PATHWAYS (CPC20220)

This course covers the skills and knowledge required to commence a career in the construction industry, providing an occupational outcome and a range of support tasks applicable to a number of construction work sites.

Trade outcomes are predominantly achieved through an apprenticeship and this qualification allows for inclusion of skills suited for entry to off-site occupations, such as joinery as well as carpentry, bricklaying and other occupations in general construction.

Adelaide Training & Employment Centre (RTO Code 0022) is responsible for the quality of accredited training and assessment provided and for the issuing of all qualifications and statements of attainment for this course.
