Maintenance Technique Old Scholar visit

Maintenance Tech Visit_Hero

We welcomed back to the College 4th year apprentice Scott Larsen, a #StPatsTech Old Scholar (Class of 2020) and previous College Captain. Scott is employed by Maintenance Technique in Roseworthy, a manufacturer of specialised components for underground drilling and drill maintenance.

It’s always fantastic to have our past students visit and to hear how well they are succeeding in their careers. Scott gained an apprenticeship in Mobile Plant Technology as a Year 12 student and was excited to return to the College to share with students the work he does. His overall advice to students is to “just get in and have a go”.

Scott visited with Mick Parisi, Business Improvement, presenting to our Year 10 & 11 students to discuss their industry and employment opportunities.

Maintenance Technique design and fabricate parts used in mines all over Australia and internationally. With the growing need for underground drill maintenance, the company also provide on-site tech support to mines across Australia and overseas, fault diagnosis and maintenance, supply specialised Drill maintenance and operational training, repair machine components, and full machine rebuilds.

A very exciting industry with potential for travel all over the world working in mining and on multimillion dollar equipment.

A BIG thank you to Scott and Mick for your visit!
