BAE Systems shipbuilding trainees take the next step

ASC Shipbuilding_Trainee Completion (Demo)

Congratulations to our four BAE Systems ASC Shipbuilding trainees who have now completed their initial traineeship as part of the Shipbuilding Readiness Training Program. The Year 12 Metals & Engineering students celebrated the successful completion of their Certificate II in Engineering at an award ceremony held at SA’s Osborne Naval Shipyard and with the unveiling of a Wall of Fame.

The St Patrick’s Technical College students now move on to the next stage in their shipbuilding careers, having officially signed contracts for a school-based apprenticeship and continue their learning through a Certificate III in Engineering with TAFE SA.

We also congratulate Year 11 students Rebecca Hlinak and Brodie Tyler for their success in being selected in the second intake of the shipbuilding training program. These remarkable students form part of the workforce of the Morrison Government’s Hunter Class Frigate Program and gain a head start on their career while completing their schooling.
