What better way to gain skills and a good understanding of a trade than through hands-on learning! The Year 10PC5 class have immersed themselves in the art of bricklaying, gaining foundational skills using tools and equipment safely and effectively as part of their practical learning in Construction Industry Training.
Students commenced bricklaying with the construction of a corner, a column, and will then move on to laying a line to construct a corner into a wall. They have gained the skills in mixing mortar, preparing and laying the first brick, applying mortar, levelling, and pointing for an ideal finish.
