Pizza was on the menu for our Year 10 students undertaking their Food & Independent Living subject. Students were very proud of their creations, making their own scone-based pizza dough and topping with a variety of options, including pepperoni, ham, capsicum, or a traditional topping of cheese and pizza sauce. Some students opted for a cheesy crust to add an extra layer of tastiness.
The Food & Independent Living subject equips students with the skills to prepare food for themselves and others confidently and safely. Students gain an understanding about healthy food and lifestyle by participating in tasks designed to help them think critically, gain hands-on experience, and make smart choices when it comes to food.
