Year 10 student Holly Mashford is facing her ultimate fear of heights when she charity jumps this month in support of disadvantaged children. The St Patrick’s Technical College student will be jumping from a plane to raise awareness and money for Variety SA – The Children’s Charity, with all funds raised supporting children and families who are facing many challenges through sickness, disadvantage or living with special needs. Holly’s fundraising target is $500 through crowdfunding platform gofundme.com.
Each year thousands of families turn to Variety SA for support when they need it the most. Through Holly’s association with the Variety Bash team ‘Hot Wheels’, she has decided to elevate her fundraising by skydiving from a Cessna aircraft at 15,000 feet and leaving behind her fears as she takes in the incredible views over the skies of Lower Light.
“While I am petrified of jumping out of a plane, that is nothing compared to some obstacles other children face on a daily basis.”
“I would like to show those children and their families that other children and families support them.”
Holly’s fundraising target is $500 by end of March through crowdfunding platform gofundme.com. Let’s all get behind Holly and show our support for her remarkable and brave commitment to taking a leap for charity! Donate today> https://gofund.me/7ac9af3b
